United States Steel Takes Track Software Live at Third Site, Great Lakes Works

Posted on Apr 07, 2016

HOUSTON, Texas (April 7, 2016) – Management Controls is pleased to announce that Track Software is now live at United States Steel’s Great Lakes Works operation in Detroit, Michigan. This is the third site to go live as a part of U.S. Steel’s enterprise partnership with Management Controls, Inc.

“With being the third U.S. Steel site to implement Track Software, the implementation at Great Lakes Works has showcased process consistency and standardization that USS has strived to develop during the first two implementations at Mon Valley Works and Fairfield Works,” said Delanie Sloan Boase, project manager for Management Controls. “This is a huge success for both U.S. Steel and MCi as the client truly understands Track’s benefits from a holistic perspective.”

United States Steel is an integrated steel producer with major production operations in North America and Central Europe and an annual raw steelmaking capability of 24.4 million net tons. The company manufactures a wide range of value-added steel sheet and tubular products for the automotive, appliance, container, industrial machinery, construction, and oil and gas industries. The next U.S. Steel site to implement Track Software will be Gary Works in Gary, Indiana. This implementation is scheduled to start Summer 2016.
