HOUSTON (May 10, 2012) -- Track Software, the leading platform for contractor cost management, announced today that it will be headlining a panel at the annual ELECTRIC POWER Show.  The panel, focused on issues surrounding outage management, includes Track Software CEO and founder Bob Harrell, as well as Regan Hallford of Public Service Company of New Mexico (PNM), a Track user.

ELECTRIC POWER 2012 covers the most important strategic and tactical issues in the power industry -- including coal, nuclear, hydroelectric, renewables and gas.  Track Software was asked to present to the attendees on the subject of greater visibility into contractor spend issues for the power industry.  The panel will be held on Wednesday, May 23, at 10:00 a.m. at the Baltimore Convention Center.

"I've had the privilege of addressing similar conferences in the refining and chemical industries for many years," said Harrell.  "Bringing our knowledge of contractor cost management to the ELECTRIC POWER Show, and to do so with one of our favorite customers, PNM, is a great honor for our company."

Companies use Track's contractor tracking software to ensure the accuracy of invoices they receive from contractors.  Instead of being required to pay gross-billable time, using Track Software, plant owners pay only net-billable time of their contractors -- saving several million dollars in the process.
